FAQ
Questions & answers
What is AnswerKeep?
A private place to save what AI said and remember what you decided — the question, the relevant answer, your decisions, reasons, corrections, and the final result worth keeping.
What does Council do?
Council lets you ask one question, get independent answers from several AI models, compare them, select the strongest material, synthesize a final answer, and keep your final judgment as a private record.
Is Council a chatbot?
No. It is a structured decision process, not a chat. It is not a benchmark, not an automatic truth machine, and not a replacement for professional advice.
Do I need to use Council?
No. You can simply keep an existing AI conversation. Council is an optional second path.
What is saved?
For a kept conversation: the conversation plus the decisions, commitments, rejected options, reasons, evidence, next steps, and unresolved matters we identified. For Council: the question, the independent answers, your selections, the synthesis, and your final judgment.
Can I edit what AnswerKeep identified?
Yes. You can confirm, correct, or remove any item.
Can I delete a record?
Yes. Any record can be permanently deleted at any time.
Can I export my data?
Yes. Records can be exported as text or JSON.
How does search work?
Search runs privately over your own records in a bounded way. There is no plaintext index of your content.
What are credits?
Council uses fixed credits per result. You can see and manage them on the Usage & Credits page.
Does beta access require a card?
No. In this private beta you can claim free credits with no card required.
Are live payments active?
No. Live purchasing is not available. Any purchase in the private beta is a free test that grants credits immediately — no money is charged.
Which AI models does Council use?
In the current private beta, built-in deterministic test models. Real AI providers are disabled by default and will be disclosed when enabled.
What happens when one model is unavailable?
Council continues with the answers it does get, and tells you truthfully which slots were unavailable. A single failed model does not sink your session.
Is my information sent to outside AI providers?
Not in the current private beta — Council uses built-in test models and contacts no third party. If real providers are enabled, selected content may be sent to them, and that is disclosed.
Is AnswerKeep zero knowledge?
No. The authorized application server can decrypt your records to provide the service. Records are encrypted at rest and scoped to you, but this is not zero-knowledge.
Can I use AnswerKeep for legal, financial, or medical decisions?
AnswerKeep helps you organize and keep your own judgment. It is not professional legal, financial, or medical advice, and you remain responsible for evaluating any result.
How do I get help?
Use the support page — it accepts account, purchase, claim-link, record, privacy, and security questions, and you don’t need to be signed in. It’s also linked in the footer and in Settings.
